ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY
The EPA EPSCoR program funds proposals from EPSCoR states that are in response to EPA Science to Achieve Results Research (STAR) solicitations (see http://es.epa.gov/ncer/rfa/ ), pass peer review, and fall near the cutoff for funding by the reviewing program. This co-funding mechanism operates internally within EPA and does not require any action on the part of the applicant. EPA uses its limited EPSCoR resources only through this co-funding process and does not issue separate EPSCoR solicitations but co-funds high quality research allowing investigators to gain experience in the competitive grants process.
Nebraska EPSCoR has received over $511,000 in EPA funds since1991.
